I joined the Stampin’ Up! family in October 2016 and I am so glad I did.
For the first 18 months I was a hobby demo, I enjoyed crafting but wasn’t ready to turn it into a business. And that was fine, I got all the help and support I needed, I had all the benefits of those running Stampin’ Up! as a business but never felt under any pressure to do or spend more.
I am now at the stage of having customers, running classes and sharing my creations online. I would love to be able to share my experience and excitement with team members, could that be you?
If you love paper crafting, whether that be card making, scrapbooking or home decor for example then why not give it a try?
Where do I start?
You get to put together a starter kit, choosing any items from current catalogues. Your starter kit will be worth up to £130 but will cost you only £99 with free p&p. In addition to your chosen crafting goodies you will get business resources including current catalogues which you might choose to give to family and friends, you never know who may share your interest in crafting.
If you need some advice on putting your kit together, I am more than happy to help.
So what’s the catch?
There really isn’t one. No honestly, there isn’t. If you choose never to spend another penny, that’s fine, no one will be putting pressure on you to do so. If you want to buy a few bits then you get a discount on any order you place for the remainder of that quarter and the whole of the next. If you spend enough to meet your quarterly minimum then you get to have that discount for another three months, if not, no problem you just go back to being a customer. You will remain an active demonstrator for as long as you reach your quarterly minimum spend (approx. £280).
Stampin’ Up! Quarter dates and Catalogue info
Quarter 1 January to March - Saleabration event
Quarter 2 April to June - Annual Catalogue released
Quarter 3 July to September - mini catalogue released
Quarter 4 October to December - mini catalogue released
Is it just about the discount?
Definitely not, although the discount is great and there are various other rewards and incentives on top. It’s also about seeing new catalogues early, getting your hands on new products before they are released to customers and being part of a family of crafters who all love the same things that you do.
Can I make money as a demo?
Yes, how far you take it is really up to you, there are some very successful demonstrators out there, some have built up a strong online presence, some run classes and workshops. I have been a demonstrator for 3 years and am still growing my business, I belong to a very well established larger team and have received, and can give loads of advice and support.
I would love to hear from you if you are interested in joining my team or, if you have any questions at all just pop me a message.
