Creating patterned paper with Forever Fern

**updated with product links**

It’s been too hot to spend much time outside today so I enjoyed a relaxing couple of hours creating my own patterned paper using the wonderful new set Forever Fern.

The end result was these three cards, same basic design but with different colour choices.

I started by deciding on the colours and which leaf stamps I would use. Pool Party features on all three, one has Mango Melody, one has Highland Heather and the other has Petal Pink. There are other greens and neutrals but these are the key colours.

The leaves and dots are randomly stamped, no rules here. After the stamping was done I embossed the whole piece (and the sentiment) using Subtles embossing folder. This gives a fantastic ‘linen’ feel to the card.

They turned out really pretty so I didn’t want to cover up too much or add anything really other than a sentiment to each card.

I used Ornate Border dies to create a colour coordinated edge and die cut one of the leaf flourishes from the matching dies to go behind the sentiment.

Forever Fern and Forever Flourishing dies will be available to order from 3rd June separately or as a bundle.

I will add product links next week so do come back and have a look on Wednesday when you will also find a link to the online version of the wonderful new annual catalogue.
