Lovin' the greens....

I am seriously addicted to the combination of Mint Macaron and Soft Seafoam, this time with a little Petal Pink and Grapefruit Grove, gorgeous!

I have used the new 'Share What You Love' stampset, I used the large background stamp to add whisper white to the soft seafoam cardstock square. I stamped it 3 times making sure it was in pretty much the same place each time but not being too fussy about it. The white doesn't show up massively but it does help to make the pink of the flowers stand out against the green background.

I needed to let the white dry out for a while so went ahead and stamped the sentiment and cut this square and the petal pink squares to layer the soft seafoam pieces on to.

Once I was happy the white ink had dried, I stamped the green flower stem outline, then I used the smallest of the solid flower stamps to add pink to the petals. I stamped in the centre and then slightly to the left and right of each flower. This gives good coverage and means a little more colour is applied to the centre of the flowers. The stamp still picked up a little of the white ink so I gave it a wipe off EVERY time before I reinked with petal pink.

I love the new 'nature's twine' and used grapefruit grove which compliments the petal pink beautifully. I have a single hole punch which punches a really small hole, it is perfect to create a little recess on either side of the square helping the twine sit nicely. This square is stuck onto the petal pink layer with mini dimensionals. A few mint macaron and petal pink sequins add a little sparkle.

I hope you like my card and would love to know what you think.

Dreamy Dandelions.....

One of my favourite stampsets from the new annual catalogue is Dandelion Wishes.

I love the images and the font used on the sentiments. The dandelions themselves are large enough to be used as the main design element without too much need for anything else.

The first card I have made using this set is in really soft dreamy tones, I love Mint Macaron and Soft Seafoam together. I have stamped in mint macaron onto shimmery white cardstock and used a dauber to add a small amount of soft seafoam to the centre of the dandelion.

The card base is very vanilla, a soft seafoam layer is then added for the shimmery white card to sit on. The sentiment is from the stampset lift me up and is stamped in mint macaron, a soft seafoam sequin is used at the centre of the dandelion.

I can’t wait to try this with some more pastel shades.

Laser cut dsp WOW!

Well I received my Stampin’ Up order and despite being really busy with my ‘day job’ I couldn’t wait to see the new colours in the flesh and have a little play with my new stuff.

I have to say the laser cut dsp is amazing, 12 x 12 inches, and 4 sheets each of two different patterns. They are whisper white on one side and very vanilla on the other.

I needed to make an anniversary card and thought this would be perfect for a quick and easy make.

I cut a corner section from the large single pattern sheet and used the very vanilla side layered onto rich razzleberry cardstock. The card base is also very vanilla and is 6 x 6 inches.

I used multi purpose glue to stick the laser cut paper, I follow the principle of ‘if you can see it you have enough’ and only put it where there was space to.

The sentiment is from ‘Beautiful Bouquet’ and is stamped in smoky slate. I used the layering ovals to cut and layer the sentiment.

I hope you like it x
