Lovely Phlox

Today has been a beautiful sunny day and it has been lovely to spend some time relaxing in the garden. I couldn't resist a sneaky hour in my craft room though to create this card inspired by a lovely phlox plant.

Blossoms in Bloom

Today I have made a pair of cards using the Blossoms in Bloom bundle. It's a big die and stamp so using just part of the image is plenty for an A6 card.

Beautiful blues

I’m so glad the In Good Taste dsp is carrying over to the new catalogue, it’s not very often that papers do and this is such a versatile collection. As well as the wood and brick textures there are some lovely pieces with blue tones which is what inspired me to make today’s card.

Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop - Anything Goes - In the garden

Ok so this is a first for me, I'm taking part in a blog hop!

I have joined the Casually Crafting Design Team and am really looking forward to sharing with you some projects aimed at the less experienced crafter who perhaps is just building up their craft kit and doesn't have every tool.....yet.

The theme this month is anything goes, so a blank canvas really. I can't wait to see the other crafter's projects. You will find links to their blog posts below so do hop over and take a look.

My card features a lovely stamp set called Dragonfly Garden, I've used the garden bit rather than the dragonflies even though they are gorgeous.

There are a few interesting techniques here including blending and spotlight colouring, read on for more details.
