Playful Alphabet

Stampin’ Up!’s new alphabet die set has letters and numbers that are just the right size to add personalisation to a card.

I’ve used letters to create the words ‘grandad’ and ‘grandma’, I would think all but very long names would also fit on a card, here I've used my favourite size which is 6 inches square.

It’s a great die set, there are spares of some of the most used letters and the outline of each little die has been printed so that you can make sure it goes back in the right place. This is also a great way of making sure you don't lose any!

I cut the letters for the words all together and was then able to use the waste piece as a template.

It’s a great way to make sure all your letters are straight and well spaced.

So much easier and the template can be saved and used again, next time perhaps cutting the letters out of different coloured card or little scraps of dsp.

Both cards use dsp from the Whale of a Time pack and that determined the colours, calypso coral for the female card and pretty peacock for the male. Both cards also have pool party and of course white.

The dsp has a ‘rope’ effect border using a die from Smooth Sailing, the male card also has a piece of seaweed and an anchor cut using dies from the same set.

The female card has three Forever Flourishing die cuts.

Pool party sheer ribbon has been added to each and the Happy Birthday sentiment, from Blossoms in Bloom, has been stamped and then cut using the paper trimmer and the lovely labels pick a punch.

There are so many ways to use these letters, I think they will feature on quite a few of my cards from now on.

Thanks for looking and here are the product links x
